I will explain why I moved the page in English to make it easier!

When used alone, the word "Shire" is pronounced

שייר (Shy-er)

However, when "shire" is on the end of a word (e.g. Lancashire, Yorkshire), it is pronounced

שיר (Shir, like the name, or Hebrew word for song)

For this reason I think the page is better located at

לנקשיר

Can someone explain why two yuds are used? The pronounciation is not the same as the word "shire" by itself. It is like an English speaker saying that

שדה בוקר

should be written "Sade Boker" in English because this is how

שדה
