whole: the four images are positioned in the upper three-quarters, set against a white panel. The title and text are separate and placed in the lower quarter, in white. All set against a black background. image: the four images each depict a civilian, lying dead on the ground. The images are arranged within a red inset to form a swastika design, which seeps with drops of blood. text: [Arabic text] 51-7460. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Charles and Read, Ltd., London.

The artwork was created by a commissioned military artist during their active service duties in the First World War. In the UK this these became controlled under the Crown Copyright provisions and so faithful reproductions may be reused under that licence, which is considered expired after 50 years.
